SHIP MARITIME AGENT

PARTNER POSITION – TRIPOLI, LEBANON

Position Description: Manage, evaluate and assess information necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified by the contract documents for the assigned areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Site investigations;
  • Quantity/Material takeoff;
  • Checking estimates for extensions, accuracy, and errors;
  • Preparation of estimate schedules for tendering reviews;
  • Budgeting/Costing;
  • Contacting sub-trades and suppliers for quotations;
  • Evaluating sub-trades quotations;
  • Recommending sub-trades;
  • Participate in tender closings;
  • Compiling and condensing successful and unsuccessful tenders;
  • Follow up with invited Sub-Contractors/Suppliers to confirm their intentions to quote;
  • Maintain Sub-Contractor/Supplier relations;
  • Maintain unit price and productivity knowledge and database;
  • Maintain Career Progression plan;
  • Other Duties and responsibilities as required.

PROJECT OFFICER FOR SUSTAINIBILITY (SNE)

TRIPOLI, LEBANON

Position Description: Manage, evaluate and assess information necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified by the contract documents for the assigned areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, guidance documents and supporting tools for the implementation and enforcement of legislation on pollution prevention from ships;
  • Prepare and participate as necessary in visits to Member States for monitoring the implementation of EU legislative acts related to the prevention of pollution from ships (i.e. Sulphur Directive, PRF Directive, EU MRV Regulation);
  • Follow meetings and ensure support to the work of the European Sustainable Shipping Forum;
  • Contribute to assessments of existing legislation conducted by the Commission;
  • Contribute to training and capacity building activities related to the implementation of EU andinternational regulations related to the prevention of pollution from ships;
  • Support the Agency on any sustainability related issues, as required;

• Any other task that may be assigned by the management.
